Ha Tinh, Ha Nam provinces seek RoK investors

Ha Tinh and Ha Nam provinces introduced their business opportunities and investment incentives at a conference in Seoul on September 30 with the hope to attract investors from the Republic of Korea (RoK).

Addressing the opening ceremony, Chairman ofthe Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Park Young-man saidthis is a good chance for RoK investors to study investmentopportunities in Vietnam in general and in the two provinces inparticular.

Vietnamese Ambassador to RoK Tran TrongToan said the investment-trade promotion conference took place at a goodtime when Vietnam-RoK cooperation ties are growing in both width anddepth, especially after RoK President Park Geun-hye’s Vietnam visitin early September.

The ambassador highlighted thepeaceful environment and socio-political stability in Vietnam , aswell as the country’s active international integration.

He said the two provinces, Ha Nam in the Red River Delta and HaTinh in the central region, both have potential for investors, as theyhave large workforces and good infrastructure from power and watersupply to transport.

During the workshop, officialsfrom the provinces pledged to continue improving administrativeprocedures, infrastructure and the quality of human resources in orderto create a fair, stable, transparent and convenient businessenvironment for RoK investors.

Several RoK firmsoperating effectively in Ha Tinh and Ha Nam shared their reasons whythey chose these provinces as investment and business destinations.-VNA

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
