The Hanoi Gift Show 2018 opened on October 17, attracting the participation of hundreds of foreign importers seeking cooperation opportunities with Vietnamese businesses.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Hanoi GiftShow 2018 opened on October 17, attracting the participation of hundreds offoreign importers seeking cooperation opportunities with Vietnamese businesses.

The event features more than 100 new productsby domestic and foreign designers, including winners of a handicraft designcontest this year.

With more than650 stalls by nearly 250 domestic and foreign firms from India, Nepal, Japan,the Republic of Korea and China, the show is expected to lure some 12,000visitors, including more than 600 importers from the US, Europe, Japan,Australia, Canada and Brazil. 

Within the framework of the event, therewill be a seminar on craft villages and handicrafts.

Up to 40university students majoring in the English, Japanese, and French languages arepresent to help domestic firms connect with foreign buyers, according to theorganising board.

ꦑ Maximum fine of 3,000 USD proposed for violating invoice regulations

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
