Hanoi (VNA) –Hanoi police on March 5 summoned three persons suspected of sexually attackingforeign women in Tay Ho district.
They also confessed tocommit the act as reported by victims.
The same day, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh also asked the municipal People’sCommittee to direct competent agencies to promptly verify behaviours of harassment against women around the West Lake as recently reported by the media.
Chairman of themunicipal People’s Committee Chu Ngoc Anh requested local police toseriously punish offenders and take measures to prevent similar occurrence.
Director of the municipalpol꧂ice Lieut. Gen Nguyen Hai Trung assigned the criminal police office to workwith Tay Ho district’s counterparts to promptly investigate the case and punish those who committed such acts in line with the law./
Police in Tay Ho district, Hanoi are conducting an investigation after they were informed that several foreign women were attacked by a group of youngsters while they were strolling around the West Lake, Hanoi Police said on February 28.
The People’s Procuracy of Ho Chi Minh City on March 2 said it has received an investigation conclusion and other documents linked to a case of “spreading contagious disease to others” involving a 29-year-old flight attendant, who is Patient 1,342.
