Hanoi to have 100 key industrial products

Hanoi is striving to have 100 key industrial products in the near future, according to Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Industry and Trade Dam Tien Thang.

Hanoi (VNA) – Hanoi is striving to have 100 keyindustrial products in the near future, according to Deputy Director of themunicipal Department of Industry and Trade Dam Tien Thang.

During a conference held in the capital city on October 9,Thang said revenue from key industrial products reached 46 trillion VND (2billion USD), accounting for about 43 percent of the total industrialproduction revenue while their exports hit 11.61 trillion VND.

Last year, Hanoi recognised 61 key industrial products andtop 10 ones. The total revenue from the 61 products reached 40 trillion VND, up28.4 percent annually, making up 32.5 percent of the total industrialproduction. Exports surged 74 percent to upwards 10 trillion VND.

Since early this year, 31 firms with 40 products haveregistered for key industrial production recognition. Their revenues areestimated at 6 trillion VND and exports at 1.6 trillion VND.

Le Hong Thang, director of the department, vowed to collectand report firms’ suggestions to the municipal People’s Committee and higherauthorities.

He also promised to continue improving business climate andhelping firms enhance their competitiveness, adopt modern technology anddevelop workforce./.

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
