Hanoi’s Old Quarter as seen by French culturist

The exhibition, jointly held by the Vietnam Union of FriendshipOrganisations (VUFO) and the Hanoi Culture, Sport and TourismDepartment, is just one of activities being held to mark the 55 thanniversary of the city’s liberation day on Oct. 10 and the 10 yearssince UNESCO recognised Hanoi as a city of peace.

The event is also to celebrate Hanoi ’s 999 th founding day.
Philipe Chaplain is the first foreigner to create a website containing photos of Hanoi ’s Old Quarter in the past.

He has also competed at the annual international contest on Thang Long-Hanoi since 2006 and won first prize in 2008./.

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
