HCM City hosts int’l medical expo

The 13th Vietnam International Hospital, Medical and Pharmaceutical Exhibition (Vietnam Medi-Pharm Expo 2013) got underway in Ho Chi Minh City on August 22, showcasing latest medical services and products.

The annual event welcomed the participation of350 businesses from 20 countries and territories worldwide such as theUS, Germany, Russia, Japan and China.

Ondisplay at nearly 400 pavilions are medical and laboratory equipment,pharmaceutical machinery and products, hospital equipment, andophthalmological and dental products.

Within the framework ofthe event, there will be symposiums on state-of-the-art products andtechnologies as well as medical equipment.

The three-day eventoffers chances for participants to share experience, seek partners andaccess scientific achievements in this field, said the organisationboard.

Torsten Wagner, head of the German delegation to theevent, voiced his hope that Germany ’s high-tech products introducedat the exhibition will be applied by hospitals in Vietnam.

The event is co-hosted by the Health Ministry and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.-VNA
