HCM City (VNA) – The 25th Ho Chi Minh City International Track & Field– Vietnam Open 2018 will take place at Thong Nhat stadium on July 26 and 27.
The event will see the participation of 400 athletes from 40 provinces and citiesnationwide and 120 foreign athletes from 11 countries nations and territories.They will compete in 21 categories, the organising said on July 23.
According to Nguyen Trung Hinh, Secretary General of the HCM City AthleticsFederation, the traditional event is held annually and this is an opportunityfor teams to review their athletes before joining ASIAD the Asian Games (ASIAD2018) in Indonesia this August.
The two-day event is jointly organised by the municipal Department of Cultureand Sports and the Athletics Federation of HCM City.-VNA
