HCM City People's Committee, People’s Council headquarters to open to visitors on April 29-30
Vietnamese and foreign tourists will have a chance to visit the headquarters of the People's Committee and People’s Council of Ho Chi Minh City - a national-level architectural and artistic monument, on the upcoming national holidays.

HCM City (VNA) - Vietnamese and foreign tourists will have a chanceto visit the headquarters of the People's Committee and People’s Council of HoChi Minh City - a national-level architectural and artistic monument, on theupcoming national holidays.
Accordingly, people are offered to visit the municipal People'sCommittee and People’s Council headquarters - the city's most well-knownarchitectural marvels - on April 29 and 30 for free of charge, the municipal Departmentof Tourism announced on April 24.
This move aims to celebrate the national holidays of HungKings Commemoration Day (April 29 – the 10th day of the third lunarmonth), National Reunification (April 30) and May Day (May 1).
It is also aimed at introducing the city's history offormation and development, contributing to building the image of a friendly andopen city administration.
Domestic and foreign tourists in groups who havepre-registered with the municipal Department of Tourism, members of theassociation of veterans, children, outstanding youth union members, andreporters of news agencies with invitations are eligible for the sightseeingtrip in the headquarters at 86 Le Thanh Ton street, Ben Nghe ward, District 1from 8 am to 5 pm on April 29 and 30.
These above-mentioned people are allowed to visit a part ofthe headquarters including the main lobby in the ground floor, main stairs,international reception rooms, meeting rooms, and balconies in 60 minutes. Theyare required to ensure the security, safety, and integrity of the monument aswell as strictly comply with regulations on the prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The old building of the municipal People's Committee andPeople’s Council was built from 1898 to 1909. It was recognised a national-levelarchitectural and artistic monument in 2020./.
