HCM City re-starts key power projects

The Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVN HCMC) on April 28 said it has resumed a number of electricity projects after the southern city ceased social distancing measures.

– The Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVN HCMC) on April 28 said it has resumeda number of electricity projects after the southern city ceased socialdistancing measures.

Many projects have beencompleted ahead of schedule to welcome the 45th anniversary of theLiberation of the South and the National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975).

Deputy director of thecompany Banh Duc Hoai said EVN HCMC has been working to enhance the powersupply to meet the city’s development requirements. However, due tothe COVID-19 outbreak, it had to delay some projects.

However, some keyprojects have still been carried out during social distancing, such as the220kV Cat Lai-Tan Cang and 110kV Binh Tan-Cau Bong power lines, and the 110kVPhuoc Long station.

The company is alsoupgrading the 110kV Hoc Mon-Tan Quy, Phu Lam-Phu Dinh and Hoc Mon-Ba Queotransmission lines./.
