HCM City to host exhibitions on ICT, broadcasting, electronics

More than 300 units from 20 countries and territories worldwide have registered to participate in the Vietnam ICT COMM, an exhibition of information and communication technology (ICT), the Broadcast Vietnam and the Electronics Vietnam slated for June 7-9 in Ho Chi Minh City.

HCMCity (VNA) – More than 300 units from 20 countries and territoriesworldwide have registered to participate in the Vietnam ICT COMM, an exhibitionof information and communication technology (ICT), the Broadcast Vietnam and theElectronics Vietnam slated for June 7-9 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Vietnam’sleading IT groups like Mobifone, LeLong, Zioncom, Bizentro Vietnam, TCXTechnology Vietnam and Du Hung Technology JSC will join their foreign partnersfrom Japan, the Republic of Korea, Hong Kong (China), Thailand and India at theexhibitions.

Theevents are expected to attract a large number of visitors, contributing topromoting international cooperation in telecommunications, broadcasting, ICTand electronics.

Theywill also create forums for the participating businesses to share experienceand transfer technologies in these fields.

NguyenLong, Vice President of the Vietnam Internet Association, said the exhibitionswill feature a programme helping the participating firms access potentialpartners as well as domestic and foreign investors.

Besides,there will be symposiums hosted by leading experts at home and abroad,concentrating on such issues as the fourth industrial revolution, Internet of Things,artificial intelligence and cloud computing, among others. -VNA

The networks bring together universities, research institutes and domestic and foreign businesses. Members will work closely in training, research, and technology transfer by sharing curricula, improving faculty capacity, providing access to laboratories and research facilities, and jointly implementing science and technology projects.

Vietnam is actively yet cautiously preparing for the construction of its first nuclear power plant in Ninh Thuan (now the south-central coastal province of Khanh Hoa). The resumption of the programme after years of suspension carries considerable significance for the nation’s development in a new era as it strives to gradually reduce and ultimately phase out coal-fired power to realise the Government’s commitment to Net Zero by 2050.
