Ho Chi Minh City has got the green light to let off fireworks during the upcoming New Year 2018 and Lunar New Year (Tet) Festivals.

HCM City (VNA) – Ho Chi Minh City has got the green light to letoff fireworks during the upcoming New Year 2018 and Lunar New Year (Tet) Festivals.

Accordingly, one high-range and threelow-range firework shows are set to take place at Thu Thiem tunnel (district 2)and Dam Sen Cultural Park (district 11), Cu Chi tunnel (Cu Chi district) and RungSac Square (Can Gio district) from 0:00 to 0:15 on January 1, 2018.

Meanwhile, one high-range andfive low-range shows will light up the sky of Districts 2 and 11, and thedistricts of Cu Chi, Can Gio, Nha Be and Hoc Mon on February 16 or the firstday of the first lunar month.

The city will use funds fromsocial sources to pay for the firework shows.-VNA
