Heritage train route launched to connect Hue, Da Nang
A train route named “Central Heritage Connection” linking Hue city in the central province of Thua Thien - Hue and nearby Da Nang city was put into operation on March 26.

ThuaThien - Hue (VNA) - A train route named “Central HeritageConnection” linking Hue city in the central province of Thua Thien - Hue andnearby Da Nang city was put into operation on March 26.
At the launch held at HueStation, General Director of the Vietnam Railways Corporation Dang Sy Manh saidthe route is part of the efforts by Thua Thien - Hue and Da Nang to enhance their connectivityand promote tourism. It is a new product that combines transportation andtourism services, promising new and interesting experiences of history,culture, and heritage for passengers.
During the about three hours of this train journey, tourists can admire themagnificent natural beauty along Hai Van Pass, dubbed “Thien ha de nhat hungquan” (the world’s most marvelous wonder) and also among the 10 most beautifuldrives in the world as selected by renowned US magazine Travel Leisure, withone side being Truong Son Mountain Range and the other the sea before reachingDa Nang, which boasts one of the six most beautiful beaches on the planet.
On the way back, from DaNang to Hue, they can set foot in the former capital of Hue, home to various heritage sites.

In particular, riding either trips departing Hue for Da Nang and vice versa inthe morning or the afternoon, tourists can enjoy the splendid sunrise or sunsetscenes on Lang Co, one of the most beautiful bays in the world, and tastetypical local delicacies, Manh noted.
Thetrain used for this route consists of five modern seating carriages and anotherfor community activities. It is expected to become an impressive “mobile”check-in place for travellers.
VIPwaiting rooms are also arranged at the Da Nang and Hue stations to servepassengers, the executive said.
Thetrain will be equipped with wi-fi this April to ensure better experiences forpassengers./.
The Gia Lam Train Factory was founded in 1905 during French colonial rule. Over time, both the Gia Lam Train Factory and the Hanoi Train Station have been transformed into innovative complexes. This revitalisation has breathed new life into the industrial heritage of the area, while also contributing to the development of creative tourism in Vietnam’s capital.
Measures to effectively and sustainably feature industrial heritage was the focus of a conference on “Repurposing Heritage in the Heart of Hanoi - Approach from Creative Exploitation and Value Promotion" held recently at the Gia Lam Train Factory in Hanoi.

A train route connecting the central city of Da Nang and Hue city of the central province of Thua Thien – Hue named “Central Heritage Connection” will be put into operation in late March on the occasion of the Liberation Day of Thua Thien – Hue (March 26) and Da Nang (March 29).
The ambassador noted that among the 300,000 Vietnamese residing in the RoK, around 3,000 are living in Pyeongtaek and contributing actively to the local economy. Ho expressed his hope that the local authorities will continue support the overseas Vietnamese community in the city.
This is the first time since the adoption of the Convention that a country has served two consecutive terms on the Committee. The outcome shows the trust and recognition that member states have given Vietnam for its efforts and achievements in carrying out and promoting the Convention, as well as for its active role, strong standing, and growing credibility at UNESCO.
