Hanoi (VNA) - The Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) in March sold nearly 34.3 trillion VND (1.5 billion USD) worth of government bonds issued by the State Treasury in 15 auctions.
This marked an increase of 21.2 percent from the previous month.
The yield rates for government bonds were lower than those in February. The three-year-bond rate fell 0.2 percent per year, the five-year-bond rate dropped 0.22 percent, and other bond rates remained nearly flat.
On the secondary government bond market, total trading volume of government bonds sold outright reached more than 713 million bonds, worth more than 74.1 trillion VND, a monthly increase of 43.6 percent.
Total trading volume through repurchase agreements was more th♓an 582 million bonds worth 56 trillion VND, up 121 percent from ꦬthe previous month.-VNA
