Party Politburo member and Secretaryof the Municipal Party’s Committee Le Thanh Hai recalled the greatevent of the nation - President Ho Chi Minh’s journey for nationalsalvation, which started on June 5, 1911 from Sai Gon port.

Hesaid President Ho Chi Minh creatively used and developedMarxism-Leninism to match with Vietnam’s historical situation anddefined the national democratic revolution, led by the Communist Party -the pioneer guard of workers’ class, as the means to overthrowimperialists and the feudal regime to gain national independence andadvance toward socialism and communism.

President Ho Chi Minh’sjourney created great turning points in Vietnam’s revolution which, Haisaid, had changed the development course of history and the fate of theentire Vietnamese people in the 20th century and left an unfadinglandmark in history of the modern world.

The Party Committee andpeople of Ho Chi Minh City, that bears the name of the late President,are consistently pursuing national independence and socialism, enhancingsolidarity for the fast and sustainable development of the city and theentire nation.

Deputy Head of the Social Science and HumanitiesUniversity’s Geography Faculty Le Minh Vinh and Secretary of the CityChapter of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Nguyen Van Hieu vowedto follow President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology and moral example as well asstudy his dialectic, scientific and renewal thoughts.

Earlier,Secretary of the Municipal Party’s Committee Hai attended an exhibitionentitled “President Ho Chi Minh with the pathway to liberate the nation”held at the Ho Chi Minh Museum’s branch in the city.

On theoccasion, the Youth Publishing House introduced two books titled“Journey following Uncle Ho’s footprints” and “Ho Chi Minh Heritage –Vietnam is the most beautiful with Uncle Ho’s name”.

The book“Journey following Uncle Ho’s footprints” depicts the late President’sjourney to salvage the nation, especially the time when he left Sai Gonport on June 5, 1911 until Jan. 28, 1941 when he came home in northernmountainous Cao Bang province as well as his revolutionary activities.

Thebook “Ho Chi Minh Heritage – Vietnam is the most beautiful with UncleHo’s name” describes major events in the late President’s life with hisstatements and images taken from documentary films as well as photos ofobjects that are being displayed at the Ho Chi Minh Museum./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
