The event, jointly organised bythe Quang Nam Silk joint stock company and the Japanese Silk CraftAssociation, will feature the first and biggest performances andexhibition of crafts from several villages including Van Phuc, Phung Xa,Nha Xa in Hanoi.
It will also showcase creations from Ma Chauand Tan Chau in Quang Nam, My Nghiep – a Cham craft village in NinhThuan – and silk production centres in Bao Loc district in the CentralHighlands' Lam Dong province.
The series of performances willinclude a craft demonstration, announcement of the anniversary of thefounder of the Quang Nam craft, a silk-made ao dai (long dress) fashionshow and dance numbers performed by the Vietnamese and Cham people.
Theevent is being held to celebrate the 15th year since UNESCO recognisedthe World Cultural Heritage status of Hoi An, as well as to commemoratethe history of handicraft villages.-VNA
The Vietnamese team will gather on June 26 in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, where they will train until July 14 before departing for Indonesia for the ASEAN U23 Championship 2025, which runs from July 15 to 29. Vietnam will face Laos on July 19 and Cambodia on July 22 in the group stage.
