The Hung Temple, which is dedicated tothe legendary founders of Vietnam - the Hung Kings, in the northernmidland province of Phu Tho province has been designated a SpecialNational Historical Relic.
Politburo member andSecretary of the Party Central Committee To Huy Rua handed over thecertificate of the privileged status to local authorities at a ceremonyheld on Sept. 19, which also marked 55 years of the day President HoChi Minh visited the temple.
Rua, who is also Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission forInformation and Education, recalled President Ho Chi Minh’s words, as saying “The Hung Kings had the merit of founding our country, you and I have to defend it together.”
