Hung Yen to build wastewater treatment plant using Japan’s technology

The northern province of Hung Yen has approved a pilot project to treat wastewater using Japan’s Johkasou technology, said Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Bui The Cu.

Hung Yen (VNA) – The northern province of Hung Yen has approved a pilotproject to treat wastewater using Japan’s Johkasou technology, said ViceChairman of the provincial People’s Committee Bui The Cu.

The 30-month project will be carried out at a cost of more than 900,000 USD atthe Ecopark urban area in Van Giang district and a kindergarten in Dinh Du communeof Van Lam district.

The project aims to improve the quality of wastewater treatment in Vietnamthrough introducing the Johkasou technology and transferring operation andmaintenance technique, thereby developing suitable maintenance services anddevices for Vietnam’s market.-VNA

Vietn꧒am ramps up plastic waste recycling, ꦆreuse, treatment efforts

In 2019, Quang Ninh became one of the first localities in Vietnam to launch a province-wide campaign against plastic waste, mobilising the participation of the political system, the business sector, and the general public. Other localities—such as Hai Phong, Da Nang, Binh Duong, and Ho Chi Minh City—have also effectively implemented waste-sorting initiatives at source, along with models for plastic-free markets and urban areas.
