Hanoi (VNA) - Deputy Minister ofDefence and Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army Sen. Lieut.Gen. Phan Van Giang received visiting Indian Air Chief Marshal Birender SinghDhanoa in Hanoi on November 1.

Giang highly valued the outcomes of the workingsession between the Indian delegation and Vietnam’s Air Defence - Air ForceService, saying these will contribute to consolidating and developing theVietnam – India strategic partnership.

The visit also presented an opportunity for thetwo armies in general and their air forces in particular to enhance mutualunderstanding and share experience in fields of their strength, Giang said.

For his part, Birender Singh Dhanoa said hisdelegation and Vietnam’s Air Defence - Air Force Service discussed a programmeto forge the cooperation between the two nations’ air forces.

He expressed his hope that the two sides willcontinue delegation exchanges, experience sharing, and cooperation in training,operating and repairing equipment, and ensuring flight safety.-VNA
