Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi said the two countries plan to have a number ofbilateral agendas and to launch negotiation for an Indonesia-TurkeyComprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement. At the proposal ofIndonesia, the cooperation programme will be applied to trade in goods. Afterthat, the two nations will start with trade in services and others. According to theminister, Indonesia and Turkey will also conduct cooperation in the developmentof strategic industries and counter-terrorism. She stated that Turkeyis one of the important partners of Indonesia as common countries with majorityMuslim population and common members of various international organizationssuch as G20, the Organization of Islamic Conference, and others.
