Indonesia's trade balance recorded a surplus of 35.34 billion USD throughout 2021, the highest in the past 15 years, according to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS).

Jakarta (VNA) – Indonesia's trade balance recorded asurplus of 35.34 billion USD throughout 2021, the highest in the past 15 years,according to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS).
Speaking at a pressconference on January 17, head of the BPS Margo Yuwono said Indonesia’s exportsreached 231.54 billion USD, up 41.88 percent annually while imports hit 196.19billion USD, up 38.59 percent.
Several sectors saw high tradesurplus, including mining, manufacturing, oil and gas, and agriculture.
Yuwono said trade surplus inOctober was the highest, amounting to 5.74 billion USD while the figure i🌠nDecꦡember was 1.02 billion USD./.
Indonesia recorded 3.26 billion USD in trade surplus in July, a nine-year high, as the export value reached 13.72 billion USD while imports were 10.46 billion USD.
