International agriculture fair kicks off in Can Tho

The 2012 Vietnam International Agriculture Fair got underway in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on November 15 with the participation of 250 domestic and international businesses.
The 2012 Vietnam International Agriculture Fair got underway in theMekong Delta city of Can Tho on November 15 with the participationof 250 domestic and international businesses.

Theweek-long event themed “Cooperating for Agricultural Development,Promoting Exports and Building a New Rural Area Model” is co-organisedby the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Agricultureand Rural Development.

Machinery, production lines,processed products, agricultural equipment, fertilisers, pesticides,animal feed and aquatic products are on display.

The fair also introduces programmes and projects on agricultural andrural development, scientific and technological triumps, tree and fruitvarieties and animal breeds of high quality and economic value.

During the event a wide range of seminars, talks and trade promotionswill be held for businesses to promote their products, exchangetechnological experiences and attract investment.

Certificates of merit will be awarded to outstanding organisations andindividuals that contribute significantly to the national economy.-VNA

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
