Information and updated technologies applied in treatment of children’sdiseases were highlighted by delegates coming from Australia, theUnited States, Germany, Italy, France, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia,the Philippines, Singapore, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director of Central PaediatricsHospital Nguyen Thanh Liem said that this is a remarkable event forregional and international paediatrics, acknowledging quantum leapforward in the methods to treat children’s diseases.
Vietnam is one of the leading countries in the endoscopic surgery inthe Southeast Asian region, however, the country is still facingdifficulties in diagnoses and treatment of newly-complicated diseases.
The conference will last till October 11 and will seek new approaches for the diagnoses and treatment of children’s diseases.
Before the conference, regional paediatricians visited the CentralPaediatrics Hospital and monitored a series of endoscopic surgeries byVietnamese and international leading experts./.
