Binh Dinh (VNA) – TheInternational Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications (ATC 2017) kickedoff in the ce꧙ntral province of Binh Dinh on October 18.

The event was co-organised by the Radio andElectronics Association of Vietnam (REV) and the IEEE Communications Society.It drew the participation of 150 delegates from 22 nations and territories. As many as 60 reports focusing on moderntechnologies were delivered at the conference, including three plenary sessionreports and 57 official reports. The ATC 2017 aims to create aninternational forum for scientific and technological exchanges among Vietnameseand worldwide scientists in the fields of electronics, communications andrelated areas as well as to gather their high-quality research contributions. It also strives to enhance researchactivities and human resources training in electronics, information technologyand communications in Vietnamese and international universities and institutes. The conference runs until October 20.-VNA

PM calls fo🥃r cooperation with Sweden in nuclear energy technology

The PM revealed Vietnam’s plan to develop nuclear power in the near future, and called on the Swedish side to assist Vietnam in developing and refining legal and policy frameworks for the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes; training and developing human resources; ensuring nuclear safety; and conducting training and drills to improve incident management capabilities.
