🍬- The 2016 International East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC) Trade and Tourism Fair kicked off in the central coastal city of Da Nang on July 28.

The annual event, organised by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency and the Da Nang Trade Promotion Centre, features 300 booths of 200 domestic and foreign businesses from Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Italy.
Exhibits include electric & electronic products, information and communication technology, wood products, furniture, handicrafts, garments, textiles, footwear, fashion, and tourism and culinary services. A number of activities will be organised during the event, including an art performance, a game show and a workshop to introduce the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement.
Director of the centre Hua Tu Anh said the exhibition opens up opportunities for domestic and international enterprises to seek partnerships, boost operations and introduce their products to consumers. The event also helps the nations along the corridor to promote their economic, trade, investment and tourism potential as well as foster collaboration, he added. The trade fair will last until August 2.-VNA

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
