HCM City (VNA) – Iran won the second Asian Cadet Taekwondo Poomsae Championships 2017, which wrapped up in Ho Chi Minh City on June 7.

Iranian martial artists bagged a total of12 gold, four silver and three bronze medals at the event.

Vietnam came second, pocketing four golds,seven silvers and two bronzes, followed by Taiwan (China) with two gold and onesilver medals.

According to Truong Ngoc De, President of the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation, thequality of tournament had improved, boosting Vietnamyoung martial artists’ confidence.

Hosted by the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation, the second Asian Cadet Taekwondo Poomsae Championships 2017 attracted 277 martial artists aged 12-14 from 17 regional countries an territories.-VNA
