IT application, digital transformation in trade promotions stepped up

Hanoi (VNA) - Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has signed a decision approving a project to promote information technology (IT) application and digital transformation in trade promotion activities in the 2021-30 period.
The project is to improve quality and efficiency in activities of the Government’s trade promotion agencies, firms, cooperatives and household businesses; and raise public awareness and capacity of IT application and digital transformation so as to promote foreign and domestic trade, contributing to the restructure of the industry-trade sector.
It strives to build a trade promotion ecosystem and a database by 2025.
All administrative procedures in the field will be available on the National Public Service Portal with 90 percent of businesses being satisfied with the process launched on the virtual platform.
The ecosystem must be built in a consistent and concerted structure in accordance with the framework of Vietnam's e-Government development strategy./.
Apart from striving for all eligible residents to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, the northern province of Quang Ninh is also working hard to take the lead nationwide in the application of information technology in the COVID-19 combat.
Most of Vietnam’s logistics firms may struggle to operate and sharpen their competitive edge in the new context if they are not quickly to engage in digital transformation.
A symposium themed “developing smart production in the process of industrialisation and modernisation to 2030, with a vision to 2045” took place on November 9 in the framework of the on-going Industry 4.0 Summit and Expo, the third annual largest-scale forum on Industry 4.0 in Vietnam.

Over the past three decades, Binh Duong has cemented its status as one of Vietnam’s most dynamic industrial hubs, building a robust foundation in manufacturing, exports, and investment.
