This will deepen the twocountries’ strategic partnership which was set up during an Italy visitby Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in January, 2013, Renzi toldthe Party chief in Hanoi on June 9.
The Italian PM highly valued Vietnam’s renovation achievements as well as the country’s role and position in the world.
Heinformed the host of Italia’s recent developments while affirming theimportance of cooperation and its potential between the two countries.
Forhis part, Party General Secretary Trong thanked the Italian people fortheir solidarity and support for Vietnam in the past as well as at thepresent.
He said he is pleased with the development in bilateralties and hopes for fresh breakthroughs, particularly in investment,trade, and education-training.
He said he wishes to furtherrelations between the Communist Party of Vietnam and Italian politicalparties, including the Democratic Party, as well as the two countries’law-making bodies.
