Japan foundation hosts mime performances

Japanese mime actor Iimuro Naoki will embark on a tour of Vietnam in March.
Japanese mime actor Iimuro Naoki will embark on a tour of Vietnam in March.

The highlight of his performance will be a part of an act titledAngel, in which his slow movements invite audiences into a dream-likescene in the depths of the sea.

He will also perform A World in Balance for which he received a gold medal at the 2009 World Delphic Games in Greece.

Naoki learned mime under Marcel Marceau, the founder of modernpantomime, and has gone on to showcase his art at a plethora offestivals to international acclaim.

His performanceswill take place in HCM City on March 5 and 6 at the Young WorldTheatre, 125 Cong Quynh Street, District 1, and in Hanoi onMarch 9 and 10 at the Youth Theatre, 11 Ngo Thi Nham Street .

The tour is being organised by the Japan Foundation Centre forCultural Exchange in Vietnam on the occasion of the Japan-VietnamFriendship Year 2013.

Free tickets can be picked up from 9am-6pm at the theatres.-VNA
