Hanoi (VNA) – The𝐆 Prime Minister has given the green🍎 light to a Japanese-funded medical project on the detection and treatment of pneumonia among children.

The five-year project will begin in 2017, under a non-refundable grant from the Japanese Government worth 350 million yen (3.5 million USD).
It aims to reduce the rate of catching and dying of this severe lung infection among a drug-resisted group of children in Vietnam. Accordingly, the National Hospital of Pediatrics will study to discover the reasons behind young patients’ drug resistance and apply standardized technologies among its staff and in seven other hospitals.
A profile system of drug-resistant children with pneumonia across the eight hospitals will be established. The project is expected to give birth to new medicines and reduce relevant hospital fees.-VNA
