Japan supports Vietnamese community in COVID-19 prevention

Japan’s authorities in some prefectures where people are confirmed to be infected with the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) are providing multilingual information services, including in Vietnamese, to support foreigners visiting or living in the country.

Tokyo (VNA) – Japan’s authorities in some prefectures where peopleare confirmed to be infected with the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) areproviding multilingual information services, including in Vietnamese, tosupport foreigners visiting or living in the country.

The prefecturesproviding advisory information in Vietnamese language include Okinawa, Fukuoka,Osaka, Aichi, Nagano and Hokkaido.

Along withestablishing these hotlines, the Japanese Government pays all hospital fees forcoronavirus-infected victims, including foreigners visiting or living in thecountry.

The Japanese Ministryof Health, Labour and Welfare advises those who have body temperature of 37.5degrees Celsius and above in four consecutive days and symptoms of tirednessand short breath to contact with healthcare centres to get proper guidance.

Statistics showed thatas of late June 2019, there were 371,755 Vietnamese people living in Japan./.
