Thang hailed the press for its contributions to the city’s comprehensive and remarkable development over the past 40 years.
Journalists have helped convey both positive and negative feedback from the public to the authorities, which have strengthened connections between the two sides, he stressed.
He expressed his hope that journalists will continue shaping model mindset, spread the thoughts and moral virtues of President Ho Chi Minh, prevent crimes, and give suggestions to policymakers.
The city’s leaders are ready to acquire feedback about negative occurrences in any State agencies or units, he said.
All possible support will be provided for the media members to perform their tasks, he promised.-VNA
