Justice ministries of Vietnam, Cuba foster partnership

At talks with the Cuban ministeron December 12, Long said the Vietnamese Ministry of Justice is ready to sharewith the Cuban counterpart experiences in building, improving and enforcinglaws.
The Cuban justice minister saidCuba has just adopted a new Constitution and will continue to revise its legaldocuments to make them consistent with the Constitution. Therefore, Cuba hopesto learn from Vietnam’s experience in law making work, he said.
The two ministers agreed oncooperation contents in the building, promulgation and organization ofenforcement of laws, judicial reform, law popularization, professional trainingfor those who work in the legal field, digitalization of legal documents, andthe provision of legal consultation for enterprises.
On the occasion of the Cubanminister’s visit, the two justice ministries signed a cooperation programme for2020-2021.
Under the programme, the twoministries will exchange experience in residence registration, legalconsultation and assistance, improvement of the legal system and judicial reform. The two sides will also worktogether in building a legal database, share legal documents and materialsrelated to fields of common interests, and increase their coordination atinternational forums./.
The chiefs of the general staffs of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) and the Cuban Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (MINFAR) highlighted the fruitful defence cooperation between the two countries and agreed to enhance the partnership during talks in Hanoi on September 16.
