Key fly-over bridge to boost west zone traffic links

Da Nang (VNS/VNA) - Trung Nam Land company, a member of Trung NamGroup, has proposed a plan to build a fly-over bridge on the Nam Hai Van-Tuy Loanring-road.

Chairman of Trung Nam Group Nguyen Tam Thinh said the fly-over would help easetraffic on the ring-road and the La Son-Tuy Loan Expressway, while creating asafe route for residents travelling between Hoa Vang and Lien Chieu districts.

He said the bridge would be built from the group’s fund of 120 billion VND (5.2million USD).

The city’s construction department said the fly-over would reduce ground leveljunctions with the ring-road and the expressway, while boosting trafficconnection among planned Lien Chieu port, north-south railway and highwaysystem; industrial parks, Kim Lien railway cargo station and the East-WestEconomic Corridor that links Myanmar, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam.

Trung Nam has developed the Golden Hills urban area and the Da Nang informationtechnology park, calling for investment from the US, the Republic of Korea,Japan and Malaysia.

Also on April 14, the city said it had asked the government for investment fromthe private sector in Lien Chieu port.

It said businesses could invest in the port logistics service, warehousesystem, container yard and forwarding service.

The city said the port would commence construction in late 2020 for operationin 2022./.
