Khanh Hoa (VNA) – The central coastal province of Khanh Hoa is holding exhibitionsdisplaying ancient maps and documents about Vietnam’s Hoang Sa (Paracel) andTruong Sa (Spratly) archipelagoes in its Cam Lam and Khanh Son districts andCam Ranh city from April 7-27.

The exhibitions takeplace at a time when the country is preparing for celebrations for the 42thanniversary of the liberation of southern Vietnam and national reunification(April 30).

On display arehundreds of historical items, documents, photos and national maps and maps ofKhanh Hoa’s sea and islands, affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa andTruong Sa archipelagoes. Many of the documents and maps were produced in the 16th century in Vietnam and foreign countries.

The exhibitions arethe first in a series of similar events to be held all districts and cities ofKhanh Hoa from 2017 to 2020.

The province hadpreviously hosted similar exhibitions in Nha Trang city and Truong Sa islanddistrict, attracting a large number of local visitors.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
