Khanh Hoa provides training for more than 4,200 fishermen

The central province of Khanh Hoa will allocate 8.7 billion VND (382,821 USD) to provide vocational training for more than 4,200 fishermen by 2020.

KhanhHoa (VNA) – The central province 𒆙of Khanh Hoa will allocate 8.7billion VND (382,821 USD) to provide vocational training for more than 4,200fishermen b🌼y 2020.

Theprovince’s fishery sector will focus on training fishermen working on shipswith capacity of 90 CV and above. Localfishermen will receive free training. Half of them are currently working onships with capacity of 400 CV and more, which were built using Government incentives to supportfishery development. According to the provincial People’s Committee,the training aims to provide knowledge on efficient fishing to fishermen, raiseefficiency while following State regulations on protecting seafood resourcesand ensure safety for fishermen and their vessels.

In 2010-2015, Khanh Hoa province earmarkednearly six billion VND (264,014 USD) to provide training and issue certificatesfor more than 3,200 local fishermen.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
