Seoul (VNA) – The third Korea-Vietnam FashionFestival Awards (KVFFA) 2021 took place in Seoul, the Republicof Korea, on November 28 night, featuring various music performances of Koreanartists and an “ao dai” (Vietnamese traditional dress) and hanbok fashion show.

In his remarks, Vietnamese Ambassador to the RoK Nguyen VuTung described the KVFFA 2021 as a significant celebration ofthe 29th founding anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic relations,saying it has further deepened cultural exchanges and increased mutualunderstanding between Vietnamese living in the RoK and the local community.

Though this is the second time the KVFFA has been heldpartially via virtual platform due to COVID-19 pandemic, the event showed that Vietnamand the RoK can together overcome the pandemic and surmountall obstacles to further boost their friendly relations in the coming time, hesaid.

Echoing Tung’s view, Jeong Min-woo, head of the event organising board,the hosting of FVFFA 2021 amid the COVID-19 pandemic demonstrated close tiesbetween Vietnam and the RoK, which have been further intensified in any circumstances. Thepromotion of Vietnamese and Korean cultures during the event would pave the wayfor the two countries' people to better connect ideas and promote cultural sympathy.

In his letter of greetingssent to the event, Vietnamese Tourism Ambassador to the RoK Ly Xuong Can saidthe event reflected the close friendship and exchange between Vietnamese andKoreans, and it promoted the beauty of the two countries’ distinctive cultures.

Can, who is now in Hanoi, wasamong those sending greetings to the event, besides head of the RoK NationalAssembly’s committee for culture, sports and tourism Lee Che-ik and KoreanAmbassador to Vietnam Park Noh-wan.

The annual event isexpected to return next year when the two countries celebrate the 30th founding anniversary of their diplomatic ties./.
