Hanoi (VNA)ꦓ – Laos’ Ambassador to Vietnam Thongsavanh Phomvihane said that he will do all he can to preserve, protect and foster the Laos-Vietnam traditional friendship, special unity and comprehensive cooperation relationship for the interests of the people of each country.
Thongsavanh Phomvihane made the remark in his meeting with Vo Van Thuong, a Politburo member, Party Secretary, head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education, on June 23.
At the meeting, Ambassador Thongsavanh Phomvihane expressed his pleasure at the Laos-Vietnam special relationship that has been ever strengthened and developed deeply, effectively and practically on all fields, partly thanks to contributions from the Commission for Information and Education.
For his part, Thuong congratulated Thongsavanh Phomvihane on being appointed as ambassador and believed the ambassador would successfully complete all assigned missions.
Thuong hoped the ambassador would continue being an important bridge helping ministries, sectors and localities to boost exchanges of theoretical and real issues, share information and experience in information and education tasks, cooperate and help each other to successfully implement the Congress Resolution of each party, thus deepening the Vietnam-Laos special relationship.-VNA
The ministries of planning and investment of Vietnam and Laos should work to foster the two countries’ economic links in key sectors – trade, finance & banking, transportation and energy.
