Vientiane (VNA) - The 10th National Party Congress of the Lꦫao People’s ℱRevolutionary Party (LPRP) will take place in the capital of Vientiane from January 18-22.

During the five-day event, delegates will study and pass the Party Central Committee’s political report and the socio-economic development plan (2016-2020), aiming to help the country escape underdevelopment by 2020 and to increase the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) to over 7.5 percent a year. In addition, they will approve the amended Party Statute and elect members of the LPRP Central Committee’s next tenure. -VNA
