Vientiane (VNA)𓃲 – Authorities in Bokeo province in northern Laos have intercepted a significant drug trafficking case, seizing 4,405 packages containing a total of 8.81 million methamphetamine tablets, weighing about 881 kilogrammes.

During the raid, police apprehended one suspect and seized a 22-wheel truck registered in Vientiane, which had been specially modified to hide and transport the illicit substances. The drugs were concealed using highly sophisticated methods within the vehicle to avoid detection. Local authorities are continuing efforts to uncover the trafficking network, trace the origin of the narcotics, and pursue other suspects involved./.
