Laos joins hands with Vietnam to fight COVID-19

Several organisations and units of Laos have offered financial donations to the Vietnamese Government and people to support their fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Vientiane (VNA) – Several organisationsand units of Laos have offered financial donations to the Vietnamese Government andpeople to support their fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Secretary and Governor of Luang Prabangprovince Khamkhan Chanthavisuk came to the Vietnamese Consulate General inLuang Prabang on June 8 to hand over 10,000 USD in support of the northernmountainous province of Dien Bien to combat COVID-19.

The same day, representatives from Xayabury province also went to theVietnamese Consulate General to present about 27,600 USD to assist Yen Bai, Quang Ninh, Son La, ThaiBinh and Dien Bien provinces of Vietnam.

Affirming the importance of the Laos – Vietnam friendship, the Laoside wished that the Vietnamese Consulate General and localities would activelywork with northern Lao localities to share experience in coping with thepandemic.

They expressed their belief that the Vietnamese Party, State,Government and people will soon curb and win over the pandemic.

Vietnamese Consul General in Luang Prabang Nguyen Dang Hung thankedthe Lao friends for thei🦹r meaningful and timely gifts, and vowed to send thed🧜onations to Vietnam soon to serve the fight against the pandemic./.
