Vientiane (VNA) –ﷺ Sysouvan Vongchomsy, Secretary of the Party Committee and Governor of Salavane, hailed the close bonds between Lao and Vietnamese young people ever since the two countries’ resistance wars for national independence.

Receiving a delegation from the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCM CYU) on July 9, Sysouvan Vongchomsy urged youth unions of the two countries to continue to educate Vietnamese and Lao young people about the special solidarity, traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations.
Secretary of the HCM CYU Central Committee Nguyen Long Hai highlighted the pragmatic and in-depth affiliation between the two countries’ young people.
The two youth unions have shared information and experience, increased their exchanges at both central and grassroots levels and joined hands in training youth union officials and organising volunteer activities, he added. The HCM CYU delegation is attending a friendship meeting between Vietnamese and Lao youths in Laos from July 5-11.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.

✱ Tour boats in Ha Long Bay to complete AIS installation by August 15
