Leaders extend greetings to Netherlands on King’s Day

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also extended greetings to hisDutch counterpart Mark Rutte, and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hueoffered congratulations to President of the Dutch Senate Jan Anthonie Bruijnand Speaker of the Dutch House of Representatives Vera Bergkamp.

Since Vietnam and the Netherlands set up their diplomatic relations on April 9, 1973, the two sides have jointly developed a sound friendship and cooperation across all fields, from politics, economy, and education to defence and security.
Vietnam’s Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his Dutch counterpart Mark Rutte on April 8 exchanged letters of greetings on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (April 9, 1973-2023)./.
Vietnam and the Netherlands boast a good, open and candid relationship, which is seen as a model of relations between Vietnam and a European nation, a diplomat has said.
Hanoi-based Thuy Loi University and Vietnam-Netherlands Friendship and Cooperation Association on April 19 organsied a ceremony to celebrate the 50th founding anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Stronger efforts and determination are required to achieve and surpass the set targets, especially in the eradication of makeshift and dilapidated houses nationwide, the acceleration of public investment disbursement, and the implementation of nationally important transport projects, PM Pham Minh Chinh noted.

In particular, in April 2023, the two sides successfully carried out a joint operation that dismantled a major organised, transnational drug trafficking ring involving both Vietnamese and Cambodian suspects.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Israel is closely coordinating with relevant local agencies to stay informed and provide the utmost support possible for Vietnamese nationals.
