Hanoi (VNA) – The Investigation Police Department under theMinistry of Public Security has decided to start legal proceedings against DinhManh Thang, Director of the Petro Song Da Trading and Investment JSC for hisalleged links to serious violations in PVC.
The information was verified by a senior official of the Ministry of PublicSecurity on December 9.
Thang, born in 1962, has been detained to serve investigations into his allegedlinks to a case of deliberately violating State regulations on economicmanagement, causing serious consequences in the PetroVietnam Construction JointStock Corporation (PVC).
Currently,investigators are expanding their probe into two economic violation cases, oneof which is the deliberate violation of State regulations on economicmanagement causing serious consequence at the PVC and the Thai Binh 2 thermalpower project.
The other case isthe deliberate violation of State regulations on economic management causingserious consequence and abuse of position and power to appropriate property,resulting in loss of 800 billion VND in PetroVietnam (PVN)’s investment inOceanbank.-VNA
