Domestic exporters and foreign importers are shaking hands at a majorevent in Ho Chi Minh City to make profits from fine art articles,wooden furniture and gifts.

The internationaltrade fair, named Lifestyle Vietnam , kicking off on April 18, drawsalmost 1,500 importers from 28 foreign markets, including some 320international firms with annual turnover exceeding 100 million USD.

Foreign businesses will have the chance to view firsthand localproducts on display in over 700 pavilions at the four-day event,organisers from the Vietnam Crafts Exporters Association (Vietcraft) andthe Trade Promotion Department under the Ministry of Industry and Tradesaid.

Vietcraft President Do Nhu Dinh saidexhibits include fine art articles, handicrafts, household utensils,wickerwork and manually woven products.

DeputyMinister of Industry and Trade Ho Thi Kim Thoa said fine art articlesand handicrafts are among Vietnam’s major hard currency earners and thesector is expected to boost its international credentials through thisopportunity./.

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
