London Symphony Orchestra entertains Hanoi audiences

Hanoi (VNA) – The world-renownedLondon Symphony Orchestra (LSO) performed in Hanoi for Vietnam Airlines Classic– Hanoi Concert 2019 on October 5 night.

This is the third consecutive year theBritish orchestra has performed in Hanoi, during which nearly 100 artists broughtworld-class works to local audiences.

The concert began with the Vietnamesenational anthem Tien Quan Ca (The Marching Song) by Van Cao, which was followedby seven works by great composers of the world.

Like the previous years, the LSO concerttook place at Ly Thai To Square by Hoan Kiem Lake, which is located in theheart of the capital city.

The concert was brought to an even largeraudience via big screens placed on Dinh Tien Hoang pedestrian street and DongKinh Nghia Thuc Square.

Vietnam Airlines Classic – Hanoi Concert2019 is an annual cultural even included in the cooperation agreement betweenthe national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines and Hanoi.

Founded in 1904 by a collective of the mosttalented musicians in London, over the past 100 years the LSO has pursued itsstrong commitment to bringing top quality music to audiences all over theworld.

Owned by its members, and comprising nearly100 talented artists from many nations, the orchestra continues to showcasehigh levels of talent – as well as being a regular presence at the Barbican inLondon, with about 70 shows each year, the LSO also performs more than 70international concerts annually./.

The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.
