Hanoi (VNA) –
Macca Nutrition Vietnam JSC will provide 95,000 boxes ofmilk worth 1 billion VND (43,000 USD) for more than 11,800 disadvantagedchildren in 15 provinces across the country.

Meanwhile,Mindalife JSC will help to build classrooms valued at 1 billion VND in thenorthern mountainous provinces of Dien Bien and Ha Giang during the 2020-2021academic year.

Agreementsto this effect were signed between the two companies and the National Fund forVietnamese Children (NFVC) under the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and SocialAffairs (MoLISA) on September 15.

Speakingat the signing ceremony, Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social AffairsNguyen Thi Ha said 28 million children in Vietnam are in extremely difficultcircumstances and 2.1 million others would fall into special conditions in needof support.

Overthe past 28 years, NFVC has mobilised more than 7.1 trillion VND to support 33million turns of underprivileged children across the country. Of the totalcapital, 130 billion VND was collected in 2019 and 25 billion VND in 2020.

Thisyear, the fund has been used for drowning prevention among children and childcare and protection amidst COVID-19, she added.

Haused the occasion to call on donors, and domestic and foreign enterprises tomake more contributions to the fund to assist the targeted children./.
