Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – Malaysia’s the Ministry of Finance (MoF) hassaid that 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) does not have any bank loans orshort-term loans currently.
Ina written reply at the Dewan Rakyat (Lower House) sitting on March 29, theministry said 1MDB had fully settled all its debts in 2015 and 2016.
"1MDBhad received 10.97 billion ringgits in cash in 2015 and 2016 through the saleof assets of Edra Global Energy Sdn Bhd, sale of equity in Bandar Malaysia SdnBhd and sale of land in the Tun Razak Exchange project," The Starnewspaper quoted the source as saying.
According to the ministry, there were no new assets acquired in the country andoverseas in 2015 and 2016.-VNA
