Malaysia, Cambodia boost cooperation

Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and his Cambodian counterpart Hun Sen𝓰 on June 5 agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

During their talks in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur, the two PMs discussed cooperation in trade-investment, tourism and broadcasting.
The leaders agreed to boost political connectivity through all-level visits. They also exchanged notes on issues of mutual concern.

The Malaysian PM said his country will welcome more workers from Cambodia, especially in the field of home care.

Hun Sen expressed his hope that Cambodia will rꦇeceive more investment, scholarships, and experience from Malaysia.

The two sides released a 19-point statement and signed two Memoranda of Understanding on an international volunteer programme in Cambodia and on broadcasting and information cooperation. Hun Sen paid an official visit to Malaysia from June 3 to 4. Previously, he attended the World Economic Forum held in Kuala Lumpur from June 1 to 2.-VNA
