Kuala Lumpur (VNA) - Malaysian Prime Minister AnwarIbrahim launched the “Artificial Intelligence (AI) Programme forthe People” at the University of Putra Malaysia on January 16 to bridge the digital literacygap among Malaysians.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Economy Rafizi Ramli said for students, itprovides a basic overview of the AI world, with the aim of attracting theirinterest to venture further and subsequently build a career in this sector.

Forother groups of society, the programme offers a fundamental understanding ofAI, helping them to understand that AI is a technology that can bring benefitsto individuals, communities and the country.

Carried out by the Ministry of Economy in collaboration with Intel Malaysia, the online self-learning programme is designed to increasepublic understanding and awareness of AI. An interesting and interactivelearning experience is provided through two sections, namely AI Aware and AIAppreciate.

It can be accessed through thꦡe www.ai.gov.my portal and targetsone million p🔯articipants this year./.
