Malaysia to deploy 14,000 policemen for SEA Games 29

Malaysia will deploy around 14,000 policemen to ensure security for the 29th Southeast Asian Games (Sea Games 29) from August 19-30.

Kuala Lumpur (VNA) - Malaysia will deploy around 14,000 policemen to ensure security for the29th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 29) from August 19-30.

Vice Director of the Internal Security and Public Order Department Azizan AbdAziz was quoted by Bernama on July 4 as saying that the personnel would beposted at National Stadium in Bukit Jalil,  Kuala Lumpur City Centre and Nilai in NegeriSembilan.

Security forces will also be stationed at some locations in the state of Terengganu,and Langkawi island of the state of Kedah.

More than 370 police personnel joined in a security drill held in the state
Terengganu from July2-4.

Similar drills have also been organised at National Stadium in Bukit Jalil andLangkawi.-VNA
